Clearing clogged drains is one of the most common plumbing service we perform. Most of the time, there is an indicator before the drain is completely stopped up. The water in the kitchen sink or bathtub will drain slower and slower until it stops draining completely. It's rare that a clogged drain happens out of the blue. If your drain suddenly appears clogged in the wintertime, you may have a frozen pipe.

New player in the game
Over the past few years, we've seen a new 'player' in the clogged drain business. It's wipes. We aren't just talking about baby wipes. We mean the wipes that can be found in the toilet paper aisle that claim to be "flushable." Word of advice: they are NOT in the least bit flushable!!Consumer Reports made this short video that shows exactly why you should NEVER flush these wipes:
"Flushable" comes with a high price tag
Although they are marketed as safe for septic tanks and sewer systems, they clearly don't break down. You'll wind up with a mess in your home AND an unexpected bill. Not only that, but your taxes may go up! Many municipal water treatment plants need costly repairs due to the damage these "flushable" wipes are causing.
